Hello All!

I thought i would introduce myself, im 17 and from central ohio and i have just recently picked up photography as a hobby, so i am very new to this. For xmas i received my first "good" (or atleast decent) digital camara. i received a Minolta Dimage 7. I dont know a lot about photography besides that it makes it possible for me to be somewhat artistic since i cant draw or paint. I got the opertunity to take my camara out on an erie foggy christmas afternoon . I will load a couple up soon for some advice i just wanted to drop in and say hello!

Welcome to the forum. Looks like you had a great Christmas. I think you will be very happy with this camera and will be able to explore your photography abilities with this camera very well. It is nice to be able to start out with a camera that won't hold you back, Jeff

Welcome to the site! That's an impressive gift. The DiMage 7 was top of the line when it came out. It's still a worthy camera. I'm sure it will take you quite a while to wring out all of its potential. And we'll be here to help you out and cheer you on as you learn.

That's a good present.
The lens on the Dimage 7 is still in use on the A1 and A2, it's a good one.
We used a Dimage 7Hi for our company magazien a couple of years ago with great results.
I'd expect you will get some good photos.
