    Fz100?

Comparing the DMCFZ100K to the DMCFZ40K the only difference I see
is the flash hot shoe. Same MPs and zoom.

So, is it worth paying $90 more? I rarely shoot so close that I need flash, mostly zoom out, nature, landscape, some macro.

The DMCFZ47PK is 2mp less, no flash hot shoe, but is $20 less than FZ100.
Why get less MP's? Why not even go down to 10mp if they felt IQ is worse on a 14mp? Why not increase sensor size instead?

The only time you will need a hot shoe is if you are doing SERIOUS flash work. For casual flash, the built in flash will be more than enough.

You, nor anyone else, will be able to tell the difference between 10 MP and 12 MP in photo quality.

The reviews I have seen for the FZ47K claim it is the best ultra zoom on the market.

    Good luck, Jim
