    Post Camera for painting conservation.

I've posted this over at dcresource, so I apologize for anyone experiencing déjà vu.

    Budget

    Under $1000

    Size

    Size does not matter.

    Features

Most picture will be printed on 4X6, it would be nice to do some cropping without loosing much quality.

Most pictures will be taken from just 3 to 4 feet away.

On a scale of 1 to 10 image quality needs to be a 11. I must have a camera that has extremely accurate color!!

Manual controls are not an issue for me.

    General Usage

Camera will be used to take before and after shots of paintings

All photos will be done indoor. I have to have a camera that can take shots in low light, bright light, and most importantly BLACK LIGHT settings.

All shots will be still, and will be taken on a tripod.

    Thank you for your help!

Restoring or repairing paintings in order to conserve its original appearance. In my grandmother's case, restoring/repairing paintings from the 1600 hundreds to the late 1800 hundreds. For more information... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conservation-restoration

In case you might be wondering why it is important for the camera to perform under black lights; new inpainting shows up under this light. So a before shot of the painting is taken under black lights, then after the painting is repaired, an after shot is taken under black lights. It shows the customer what areas of the painting have been repainted.

    Ah...of course...just didn't click earlier.
Unfortunately I'm not the expert to ask but by replying the thread will be bumped up and I am interested in the answers you get.
It may do better in the 'help' forums but give it a day or two here.

I remember a camera a year or two ago (I think it was Fuji) that would take both IR and UV images, it was used by forensics and might be suitable.

Yeah here is is, Fujifilm IS Pro
