Fuji finepix s2 dead ccd replacement program
I bought an s2 pro today from craigslist. The ccd is apparently dead and I know these were replaced by fuji without charge because it is due to manufacturing defect.
This began I believe in 2003. The latest discussion that I have found on the web is 2005.
Anyone actually know if they are still running this program.
I have emailed them but would like all available info.

For the inevitable curious bargain hunters curiosity the kit includes

S2 Pro (albeit with black screen).
    Nikkor 24/150 VR lens
    SB-50 DX flash
    1GB Micro drive & 256mb card
    LowPro Mini treker bag
    Charger/ AC power
    UV and polarizer filters
    Cable release
airbrush cleaner / lens tissue and fluid

    First you guess how much????

Re: Fuji finepix s2 dead ccd replacement program
I had my sensor replaced last year, and at the time I think the service advisory had been available for a couple of months. I just looked on the Fuji S2 Support Page and they don't list it but click on "contact" and give them a call.

Let us know how it goes - they didn't ask me for a receipt so I'm guessing it's not just open to the original purchaser of the camera.

    Follow up.
FIY - Fuji continues to honor this recall. I contacted them and received an RMA, shipped the camera and received it back repaired in 10 days free of charge. Nice service!
