    First Camera, Would Like Advice
I'm looking for a digital camera. I'm not too picky but I'd like decent zoom, good video quality, and it would be nice to have the ability to take videos to. I ended up picking out this one:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16830122110

It has a 10x zoom and it's an SLR-like (which would mean more shooting options and better image quality right?). The only disadvantage I can see is that it's a bit big but I don't mind that too much. How can I tell how long the battery life would be? Any advice about camera selection or what to look for would be greatly appreciated! :)

Scanned a few reviews. They say its ok for the price but has poor design and confusing controls. The battery life is supposed to be good though.

Well what other camera would you recommend? This one looks the best to me but I don't know much about cameras which is why I came here for advice. I'm looking for something preferably under $200
