    Finepix S5100 lens
    Hi all,

Just wondering if there's anybody here who owns a Fuji Finepix camera, and who's ever used the lenses WL-FX9 Wide Angle or the TL-FX9 Tele Photo Lens?! Anybody with a review would be highly appreciated or any other possible lenses that would fit on the camera with the adapter ring please let me know!

Thanks alot and I aplogize if this is in the wrong forum,

    Thanks again,

    Jared

the pair of lenses that go with the olympus E20 fit on with a step up ring... (tcon-14b) is the tele dont know what the wide angle number is..

they are rather large and heavy but they improve the image quality if anything as opposed to degrading it like u get with lesser lenses.. they are rather large thow.. he he.. but they do look very impressive stuck on the end of the little fuji.. he he

my son has a little fuji S5000 and an oly E20 so i know they work..

u can picked used ones on ebay quite cheaply..

one thing i havnt mentioned is the size and weight of the ticon14b.. its about 3.5 inches long and about 3,5 inches wide with 82mm threads at its business end.. it will more than double the weight of your little fuji camera..

i say this cos looking at pics of the E20 and its bits and bobs dosnt give any real idea of size.. the wide angle oly lense is 105mm at its business end and would take your fuji down to about 30mm equiv.. i cant say as my offspring has used his wide angle much.. but he does say it gives pretty impressive lense flares if u so desire such things.. he he

Check the top right (not quite top) of the forum page. You will see "Private Messages" and read/unread. Just click on the link.

And don't forget to reply to my post about getting the Z3..........afterall you're one person who encouraged me to look into the Panasonic cameras (I'm a Canon person).

    Even tho I didn't get the FZ20 - I got a great deal. :D

    Re: Pm
course u could stick the olympus pair of lenses on your FZ3 as well Liz.. it would weigh more than your rebel kit.. but u would have a camera with a range of 30mm to over 600mm equiv.. hmm.. u aint gonna find a DSLR that comes close to that.. and all for a cost of about 500 dollars.. hmmm.. crappy consumer cameras do have something going for em..

i have a little kodak dc4800 that with add-on lenses goes from about 16mm to 2000mm equiv.. think about a DSLR that will do that..

yep crappy little consumer cameras do have their plus points.. he he
