    Digital camera for left handed
    Hello!
I'm looking for a fine digital camera for left handed!
Do anybody have a clue of a company that handle these products?
    thanks!

That's a great point! I've never thought about that. My son is left-handed so he may have issues down the road. Although never having used anything else, he may not know the difference.

I don't know the answer to your question. My feeling is NO. I imagine the cost for a manufacturer to produce mirror image models would be cost prohibitive. I hope that someone else will chime in with a definitive answer for you.

I did a "Google search" for left handed digital cameras and could not find any.

I am left-handed, as is my hubby, and neither one of us has a problem with my Canan. You just have to adjust because if you ever did find a lefty camera, it would be so expensive I can't imagine it being worth it.

It's not like you need the dexterity of a surgeon to use a camera. :)

I'm sorry for being so blunt, but it's the truth. Push a button with a finger half-way for focus and exposure, and push it the rest of the way to capture the image.

I think I could do it with any of my 8 fingers, maybe not the pinkies tho, especially the left one.

No offense, but I thought this thread was a joke at first...

I'm left-handed, and while I struggle with some of the many right-handed things society continually throws at us, working a camera was never one of them.

Seems to me you use both hands to work and shoot a camera properly, and focusing with your left hand and pushing a shutter release with your right hand are not really dominant/submissive types of tasks.

Now your eye is a different matter altogether. Everyone almost definitely has a dominant eye, and I can easily see (no pun intended) one or the other eye being much more comfortable in the viewfinder. Still, it's is relatively easy to use either eye with your average DSLR.

Look, I'm all in favor of left-handed items (why does an episode of The Simpsons come to mind?), but IMO it would be pretty unrealistic to expect any of the big camera manufactuters to create an expensive "mirror" product for such a small minority of users...
