    Digital Camera Focousing Help
    I have a Sony Model MVC-CD350 digital camera which I purchased at a discounted price. I routinely photograph my acquarium fish and I seem to have a very difficult time getting the image to focous. What I am looking for is general advice when photographing moving objects. It seems to me that a shutter speed change would be in order but I don't see a adjustment for this. Any and all advice would be appreciated.

    Your camera is fully automatic. There is no way to tell it that you need a higher shutter speed. You can try to fool it by raising the ISO setting but your pictures will become very noisy.

    Focus vs shutter speed
    Is your shot blurred because the fish are moving, or because it is not able to focus fast enough on the fish? These are 2 different problems. You could try to pre-focus on something stationary in the tank and then wait for a fish to come to that area. How patient are you? :)

    Or, does your camera have any preset modes you can choose from? Look for a sports or action mode if it does. This might increase shutter speed.

    Or you could try panning with the fish. That is, move the camera with the fish as it moves. I don't know how fast they are, this might not be possible.
