    Recovering Deleted Photos - OOPS

I've have accidently deleted pictures of my nephew's first birthday party from my Kodak EasyShare Z760!!! I'm in big trouble....CAN ANYONE HELP??

Since I was in the process of copying the photos to my hard drive when I deleted the photos (duh!! ), I don't have copies of the ones I want yet. Does anyone know how I can recover these pictures from my camera?? I have not taken any photos since I deleted the pictures over an hour ago.

Please say you can help!! Thank you! :mad2:

Were they on a memory card or stored in the camera's built-in memory? There is image recovery software available. I've only used it on memory cards, through a card reader, though. I expect it will also work with your camera plugged into the computer. The software I've used is made by Lexar. I can't remember how much it costs. But it's included when you buy one of their professional memory cards. You can also download it from the Lexar Web site. The software works very well, as long as you haven't shot a whole lot of photos on your memory card after you deleted the photos. I think it will help you get your photos back.

THanks for your input. The photos were not on the memory card, :cryin: so.... I think they are lost forever. I have tried, with no avail, to find a software to recover from the internal memory of the camera. Even called the camera mfg. and they said, "Nope, sorry, they're gone." :cryin:

    Thanks for trying.

I don't know if they're gone. Did you check the Lexar site? Or do a Google search on "file recovery." If you connect your camera to the computer via the USB connection, your computer should recognize it as a drive if you view it through Windows (or the Mac equivalent) Explorer. The Lexar software should be able to scan the "drive" in your camera just as it would a card in a card reader. I don't think you can hurt anything so it's worth a try.
