    Decent cheap D-P&S?
I'm seeking a digital replacement for my P&S. I plan to buy a DSLR sometime this year to replace (or rather, complement) my Rebel 2000, so I don't want to spend more than $150 on a D-P&S. 2MP is enough; want at least 3x optical zoom.

Found a great bargain on a Fuji F401 recently, on BestBuy.com. Bought it, returned it within a week. Horrible noise in dark areas of the picture. Great focus/sharpness for well-defined subjects, but horrible for subtle, fuzzy subjects - like my dark cats, which are my main P&S subjects. None of the configurable options helped the results.

Is there a digital camera that would fit my P&S needs, or is it just not time yet for me to get a D-P&S?

    Thanks!

Try the Canon A60 or A70. Noise reduction can destroy fine detail, like fur or hair. I used to have a fuji, was never happy with it, even in the 1 megapixel days... Their S2 is great though.
