    Which Compacts Use AA Batteries?

I frequently find myself in far off places where there's no way to charge a battery...i.e. Iceland, Cape Horn etc. My Olympus Camedia has been great as it uses AA batteries as well as the rechargable type. Are there any small compacts on the market today that AA batteries will work in?

There are quite a few compacts that use AA batteries. I just ordered a Pentax S40, and one reason I chose it was the AA batteries. I found this tool useful, and I think one of the criterion is battery type, so it will give a list of cameras which fit your specs:

I know the Canon A60 does - it's 2mp though, may or may not be what you're looking for.

So Iceland and Cape Horn - do you need an assistant??

The Nikon 2200 and 3200 do as well.
