Compact Flash Card

I have a Canon Rebel Xti and have a SanDisk Extreme IV 2GB compact flash. It has been enough for me so far, but I am going to be working with a photographer over the summer and I know that a 2GB will not go very far. I usually shoot nature, a LOT of sports, people, and just whatever I feel like. What compact flash will be the best for me? Also, I was looking at some earlier and found the Kingsford brand to be the cheapest. Has anyone heard of or used them?

I found the hard way that cheap cards are worth what I pay for them.
Now I only use Sandisk or Lexar.

Never go cheap, I also have found this out. You get what you pay for, cheap will be very slow and will prob mess up. I say go with SanDisk that is what I use exclusivity now and have never had a single problem with them (other than me busting a SD card being stupid, it was my fault not SanDisk's)

Are you sure it's Kingsford, and not Kingston? I have a Kingston card and I have never had a problem with it. I don't use it much as my main cards are Sandisk. Check out www.newegg.com for deals on CF cards.

I'll second that. I only use Sandisk now, and just picked up an Extreme III 2GB card today. It's write speed is at 20mb/s and is worth the $50 I spent on it.

Don't sacrifice quality for price, it never ends well.

I purchased a Kingston 512mb card when I got my Canon S1 IS and I still have it with (1) SanDisk 512mb, (3) SanDisk 1gb cards. I just purchased (2) SanDisk 4gb Extreme II cards and haven't had any problems using them with my Canon XTi. I purchased my from, http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_ex_p_...ctFlash%20Card. I do have to say that I only purchase items thru Amazon that is sold by Amazon, plus you get free shipping on those items.

Thank you all for your feedback. After reading these I think I will go with a SanDisk or Lexar.

Your camera is highly unlikely to exceed the speed capabilities of Sandisk Ultra or Extreme cards. Even the Ultra II, is more than fast enough for anything that camera can throw at it.

The only difference you will notice between Ultra II and Extreme IV is downloading through a reader. The faster, and way more expensive, cards download faster from a reader but not from the camera. So if you plan to fill up a 4 gig+ size card, get a good reader and as much card speed as possible. Otherwise, get the Ultar IIs and maybe save enough to buy an extra one.

BYW, I have 3 Sandisk Ultra II 2 gigs and they are great. I also have one Sandisk 4 gig Ducati which is Sandisks absolute, 6 or 8 months ago and probably still is, fastest card. Why did I spend that much on overpriced hype? It's the only Ducati I'll ever own. So now I continue with the T100.
