Re: CF Cards Differences??
hard to say.. uploading is governed by your usb speed .. usb 1 or usb 2.. so no it wouldnt..
some cameras write to the card faster than others.. with burst mode or continuous shooting a fast camera can be slowed down by the use of the slower cards.. a slower one wont be bothered.. hard to say without making side by side comparisons in a particular camera quite how much u might gain by a faster card..
faster cards will become the norm soon anyways..

Re: CF Cards Differences??
Here is a link to some CF card tests. Remeber that your camera plays a huge part in this. Your camera might not be able to write to the card as fast as the card will allow, and you would be wasting your money on a super fast card.
Find your camera in the drop down box, if it's there, and look at the test results.

Re: CF Cards Differences??
"original Sandisk and the "Ultra II"
quite a difference isnt there.. it also seems my comment about it not affecting upload speed to PC was wrong.. assuming a fast card reader.. firewire or usb 2 connection plus fast computer it makes a difference and quite a big one.. there seemed to be a factor of 6 x tween fastest and slowest..
with the rebel (in camera) it was reduced to a roughly a .6 x difference.. the cameras still seems to be the major bottleneck even thow some do benefit from the faster cards.. thow i must admit to not going thru the list to see how the rebel compared to other DSLRs..

Re: CF Cards Differences??
Thanks thats the info I was looking for. I was actually considering getting the ultra II but now that I see the differences are somewhat minimal no need. Thanks again.
