Is CD software neccessary with Konica Minolta Dimage Z3 4.0MP
    Hi,

I was considering purchasing a Konica Minolta Dimage Z3 4.0MP for my son. he has a disability that causes hand tremors so I thought the anti shake feature would be beneficial.

However, the camera does not come with the CD . Is this CD neccessary? Can I obtain the software somewhere? The Konica Minolta corporation seems to have ceased operations as of March, 2006.

Thank you in advance for your help!

The CD is just a fast way of getting the photos to the computer. cam2pc-Image Browser which is free on Shareware/Freeware sites is just as useful as the beginning versions of DiMage Viewer. There are other programs as well and of course your editor such as Photoshop...Paint Shop Pro...etc.
