    Canon Powershot s45 vs a560
Hey everyone, I'm somewhat inexperienced with cameras and have been in the market for a digital camera. I've been looking around and found some guy selling both these cameras (the s45 and the a560) used, for nearly the same price. I've looked at the specs and reviews for both and both seem to be highly recommended.

The s45 seems to have much more options available, but it is also an older camera with only 4.0 megapixels, whereas the a560 has 7.1 megapixels.

If anyone could help me out and give me a rundown of why I would want one over the other that would be awesome! Thanks

Welcome to the site, rahvin. What's your camera budget? But of those cameras are pretty old and getting something newer would be nice. But if you can't afford something more recent, we can still help. Between those two cameras I'd go for the A-Series camera. The S-Series cameras are more sophisticated. But I wouldn't go back as far as the S45. That's just too old and I think the image quality will be too poor compared to what's available now. The A-Series cameras used to all have manual controls although they did start to limit them recently. I'm not sure about the A560. One thing to look for is a camera that has image stabilization. With Canon they'll have "IS" in the name.

Tell me some more about your budget and what you want to do with the camera and I'll try to give you some more guidance :)
