Canon Powershot A80 Viewfinder Problem!?

I am just wondering if anyone has ever had any problems with the LCD Monitor while using it outside at night time or during a dark place with no lit up background etc.?

I am just wondering if it is my camera :-/ Which I am hoping it's not, but whenever it is when it's dark or at night and I try using my viewfinder, I can't see much out of it, unless there's lights or something somewhere. Or is this normal? lol. My old camera I didn't expect much out of it, but with what I paid for this, I wondered if this was usual?

Hope someone can help :) and that this makes sense.

I'm not sure what to say. When it's dark, it's dark. Some digital cameras have special features to lighten the scene in the viewfinder at night. But that's not a normal feature. Try using the optical viewfinder. That's your best bet.
