    Canon A80 vs. Kodak DX7440
I would appreciate input on which is the better quality camera, the A80 or the DX7440. I heard that the "made in China" version of the Canon has problems. Also, while I've studied the features of each, I'd like anyone's opinion on which has more utility as an all around camera. The Kodak has programmed settings for snow, beach, fireworks. Can they be easily replicated with the A80? I'm an SLR guy looking to get my first digital camera and looking to best leverage the technology in the A80/DX7440 price range.

    Many thanks.

i love the A80, check my post history and you can see a lot of the pictures i took with it. you cant beat a foldout lcd screen :D never worry about glare on the lcd again :) plus the lcd folds in backwards so it doesnt get scratched. plus its a canon!

I picked up my A80 today and haven't done much besides check out the manual and walk around and take some pics around hte house. For 280 dollars it is a great investment and im glad i got it. Me coming from an SLR and only shooting film it was kind of odd but i just wanted a digital point and shoot as i am going to keep shooting film as my main system for now.
