    Camera Insurance for travelling
Hi, I have been looking around for insurance to cover my camera (FinePix S2 Pro) and lenses while on regular short trips abroad from the UK (mainly to Europe).

The cheapest I've found is around £200/year - for £3000 cover. This seems pretty expensive - what do other people think?

Mine is covered under my household insurance, that quote seems very expensive given that the entire contents of my house (any of which are covered if I take them anywhere with me) and the structure of my house are covered for £500 a year.

Unfortunately I don't have household insurance - but given the amount you pay for your entire household contents, I think I'd better look around some more.

    Thanx

Is that quote for travel insurance or standard insurance for just the camera and lenses?

You might get a better deal if you go for annual multitrip travel insurance (although you'd need to check that they covered the value of the camera)

This is just for standard insurance - the camera, lenses, storage media. The multi-trip insurance won't cover such an expensive camera.

Maybe I'll just take good care of it!
