    Chipped Memory Card

We have a 3 year old Sony Cybershot that can no longer read memory cards. We believe that a small piece of the broken memory card, that we are no longer using, is still stuck inside the memory card slot in the camera. I have been trying to fish out the broken piece(s), but my visibility is limited given the tight space in which to work. Has anyone had this experience or know what tools or methods I can use to get my camera working again?

    Thank you,
    Anthony

    Re: Chipped Memory Card

That's an interesting problem. I've never heard of this before but I can see how it would happen and how it would be a big problem. Are the pieces jammed or are the rattling around in there? Can you put a new memory card in or do the broken pieces get in the way? If the pieces are loose, I'd try a vacuum cleaner with a cardboard cone to seal the opening. That should suck out any loose pieces. Jammed pieces will be a bigger problem, though. I'm not sure how you could see them or get in there to get them out without taking the camera apart.
