Bulb mode
I was wondering whether there are any digital cameras (non DSLR's) which have this function (or manual exposure). I heard the Nokia 8800 phone has it build in it's camera. If a camera on a phone has it, a handheld point and shoot should have it too right?
It doesnt have to be that long, 10sec to 30sec would already be enough.
Cameras like the powershot G9 should surely have some sort of manual exposure?
Thanks

Re: Bulb mode
Hi,
The panasonic lumix DMC-FZ7 has a scene mode that allows for exposures of 15, 30 or 60 seconds. There is no bulb mode.
"Manual exposure" on this camera permits adjusting the shutter speed all the way from 60 seconds to over 1/1000 second. The lens aperture also can be adjusted manually.
There are also exposure options from 8 seconds to 1/2000 seconds in "shutter priority" mode.

The newer lumix cameras like the FZ8, FZ18 and FZ28 are even more versatile.

Re: Bulb mode
Most film cameras that are full manual have a bulb setting :)
