I've had my Sony DSC-P100 from new and it has not had a great deal of use and has not been mis-treated.

It developed a fault about a year ago that I have been putting up with but as I'm starting to use the camera a bit nore now it's peeing me off!

When I turn the camera off the lens does not return and the sliding covers do not close.

I can close it by gently pressing the lens into it's closed position but I don't like to do this. So I keep turning it on/off again and again until it finally decides to shut or I just leave it open but then it won't fit in the case.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Does anyone know how to fix it?
