AA powered compact digital camera

Can any one recommend a point and shoot camera powered with AA batteries as small as possible, with the standard features of today’s digital cameras (HD, 8-12 mega pixels, 6-10 optical zoom, image stabilizer…). I won’t be accessible to any power source and I want to be sure I can take a picture

Canon SX20IS/SX1IS probably. What size are you looking for and at what price?

I'm looking for much smaller camera, compact or if possible ultra compact cameras.At this stage I'm looking at all price range

you dont get ultra-compact and AA batteries. Powershot A4/5 series.

If you want SMALL, er, small, AND "AA" batteries, check out the Canon A480, A490, and A495. Small they are, and they have 10 MP, but I don't think they have image stabilazation. You'll have to go a little larger for that.

Yes, I mentioned the A4 series. The A5 series have image stabilization and better, faster lens.
