Nikon D-70, just bougt, but how do I use it?

This is a rhetorical question of course. I just wanted to thank the folks that guided to me a purchasing decision. It was highly suggested that I buy the Nikon Coopix 8800, but I want to have more manual and artistic control.

I wasn't clear about my needs. But it was neck and neck between the Nikon D-70 and Canon Rebel XT. On doing more research I was told by many not to get fooled into the Megapixel sell. What I needed was to compose my picture better and learn the camera.

Now I'm going to a Nikon class and a Ritz camera class for digital photography. I'll soon take a photo class at the local college and post my pix here for a review of an extremely new amateur's work. We were all at one time, right?!

Anyway, I look forward to participating more here in the not to distant future.

    Sincerely,
    Cliff
