Requires twice the number of batteries though, which has to be a drawback.

Keep the card in the camera body so the interface from sensor-processor-memory is fast as possible.

It could probably be done using a variant of the E-P2 accessory port for the viewfinder.
That port provides all the necessary signals for the image and overlays.
All you'd need to add is a back channel for the camera controls.

Probably wouldn't take too much hacking to do that, it may even be possible through the USB port already using an existing remote control API.

Not too far fetched, apart form the full frame, Nikon/Canon lens compatibility, 31MP features.
