Season Closer At Brighton - Olympus E-PL1

I took the Olympus E-PL1 to closing day at Brighton Ski Resort. It was a hell of a party and a damn nice spring skiing day. I didn't take nearly enough bikini photos. But I did get a pretty good slice of the day, including some video. Here are a few still photos. I need to edit the video clips into something coherent. The more I use the E-PL1, the more I like it. I can do a pretty good job of capturing action if I use the EVF. And the EVF makes a big difference in steadying the camera for video, too. I think it's a very worthwhile accessory.

    Brighton - Dummy Down

Here are a couple of photos from the Dummy Down event at the end of the Brighton Ski Resort closing day. People make "floats" and they send them down the halfpipe. I think there are some sort of prizes, but I don't know for sure. The biggest challenge with these photos was not getting hit by a snowball as both sides of the pipe had a constant barrage going across.

Those were all taken with the kit lens. It's really a very decent lens. There is some barrel distortion that shows up in the trees with wide-angle shots. But usually I'm pretty happy with the kit lens. And I love how tiny it is.

Beautiful shots John! I'm so glad you like the E-PL1 - like I do. It's my favorite camera.

This images are so crisp and clean and the color is perfect.

Thanks for sharing. If anything could sell the E-PL1 - this would make a great ad.

Now I get an idea what these cameras are capable of, they looks like slr quality.

Wow Bikini snowboarding, what a contradiction.

The dummy pics jumping and the aftermath is awesome lol.

    All cool shots!
