    40-150mm Debate..

Since the 40-150mm is kind of a hot topic right now (and I am trying to decide on which one to buy), I have a question for ya'll!

With the adapter, the 40-150mm f/4.5-5.6 can be had bundled together for around $200.
The older 40-150mm f/3.5-4.5 plus adapter is around $300-$320. Is there going to be enough of a difference to merit the price increase?

I know there's a fairly significant size differences (2.5" vs 4.5"). But I've read conflicting weight info. The newer one seems to be around 8 ounces and the older one anywhere from 9.6 ounces to 15. But that's a fairly secondary consideration. Although if anyone is feeling bored and would be willing to post a pic of their E-PL1 (or E-Px) with their 40-150 mounted on it, I would be ever so appreciative. I am curious how big either one will be on the little Pen bodies.

Also if it matters, I'll be shooting a bit of everything in all kinds of conditions with it. Basically I'll be cutting my teeth with it, but if I can keep it a while and not outgrow it, that would be nice. There aren't any local places for me to go try out either one.

IQ of the 40-150 in 4/3 mount is the same (negligable difference). The differences are size and max aperture. That is all. The newer 40-150 would be better suited for a m4/3 platform based on size.

I think if I were going to use an older 4/3rd lens I would use a full size DSLR. I just think it would be better balanced in my hands. I can't imagine using my EP-1 with a big lens on it.
