Little things with E-P1 and GH-1

I like the GH-1 spring loaded battery and SD card slot covers. The E-P1 cover has no spring.
I like the E-P1 battery/card cover latch because it latched automatically. The GH-1 battery cover does not self-latch.
But the GH-1 battery cover has a catch I can work with my thumb, the E-P1 catch I have to fiddle with my thumbnail to open it.

I dislike both battery compartments, or the batteries, because there's no clear indication which way the battery should go, and it fits either way. Except on the Olympus if it's the wrong way it stops after a few millimetres and won't go in, but the Panasonic goes all the way in and then falls out again.

I wish I could have the best features of both cameras on both cameras

Of course you do! And while we're at it, how about 5D Mk II image quality?

I might take you up on the 5DmkII quality, if I go to another night Indy race.
Of course that means buying a 5DmkII in the first place !
I was wishing last night I wasn't in holiday tourist mode, but had actually brought the beasts or burden with me.

Has anyone done this update yet? I'm wondering if it makes a noticeable difference with continuous auto focus. That's one of the things it's supposed to improve.

This thread is closed - partly because of spam and partly just to keep it clean and simple. There is a good thread on the guidelines, though. That thread helps give us direction and also helps establish the community standard. So if you're wondering about what the rest of the photographers on Photo Critique think about posting too many photos, not commenting, editing other peoples' photos, etc., the guidelines discussion is a good place to go.
