My other idea is to buy the Olympus body and put the Pan 20mm lens onto it?
Beautiful combination. I've had the E-PL1 and 20mm lens for about a year. The IQ is incredible with this combo. It would be the same with the E-PL2.

Here is a review of the E-PL1 - very similar to the PL2.

You might have missed the links I posted above (I see you're listed as in this forum) - I just edited the above post to include more info on the E-PL2

Personally the in body IS would be the feature that sealed the deal, the EPL-2 also has a built in flash and maybe better IQ at high ISO's.

Thanks Liz:thumbsup:
I'm going towards the PL2 body and the Pan 20mm even though it's an expensive way of doing things!

Just to add - the flash on the E-PL1 and E-PL2 are the same - It's a nice flash because you can bounce it. It's a small flash and like most on-camera flashes, not too strong. However the bounce feature works very nicely. I have found it much more useful than any onboard flashes I've used.
Also, you can add the VF-2 optical viewfinder (a bit expensive - but awesome) to either camera.

Re: E-PL2 or Panasonic GF1??
I've come to the conclusion that my ideal camera is the E-P3.
All the features of the E-PL2 (including the new accessory connector) in the E-P2 form factor with the E-P2 controls but with flash. Preferably with articulated screen as well as the VF-2.
But until they make one, I'd pick the E-PL2
Re: E-PL2 or Panasonic GF1??
I'm a Panny guy. When I bought my GF-1 there wasn't a contest, at least to me: the E-PL2 didn't exist. There were several other things in reading DP reviews summaries of both cameras, the Oly just didn't compete for what I needed. The Panasonic in tests blew the Oly away in AF performance, that was important to me. I wasn't a big fan of the retro style of the Oly and preferred the more modern styling of the Panny. Although the lensing was usable on both camera bodies, I preferred lens based IS because:
a) I think it's superior because it is tailored to a particular lens and not a generic system designed to cover everything.
b) because I am a Canon user and that is what I am used to, and see "a"
So, I am in the minority here, I think I am the only GF-1 user here. But the camera has been very impressive for me, the lenses have been great, the IQ is on a par with my old 10D, and it fits in my work environment very well, every bit as well as my old G9 did. I am completely happy with my little GF-1
Re: E-PL2 or Panasonic GF1??
Ok, the real problem for me is the lack of Focus assist on the Oly, is that a problem, I'm thinking -hunting lenses in low light?
