    Rebel XTi Self Timer

Is there any way to adjust the self-timer time? It's at 10 seconds, and I'd like it shorter. I know about the mirror lock-up/self timer combo that gets it down to 2 seconds, but is there any way to adjust it?

Not that I'm aware of, and I've been using it since September. Do you want it longer or shorter? Maybe you need to invest in a remote?

Shorter, so I guess I'll have to stick with the 2-second mirror lock and self timer combo. Which is alright, but it takes a while to go through the menus.

I was pretty disappointed when I couldn't find a way to adjust it. Why Canon, why?

Well, to be fair, it is their entry-level digital SLR.
