Teleconverter help

I have a Tamron SP BBAR MC 2x teleconverter that I got from my grandfather. I think it is for a Canon. Can anyone give me some info on this?

Can you post a photo of it? Show us what the writing on it says?

I Googled it and from what I can see, this is most likely for Canon FD mount gear. It will not work on EOS equipment. I also found something that said "adaptall" which makes me wonder if this could be a universal TC that you would need to purchase adapters in order to make it work on many different types of cameras.
