I broke the memory card slot on my Digital Rebel, HELP!

Ok for those of you who have a rebel please help out. I inserted the memory card the wrong way and must have pushed it in too hard because one of them little needle things broke that inserts into the memory card. Now when I try to take pictures it says error 2 on the display. How much would this cost to fix

Call up Canon Factory Service and get on their website to download their form. They may not quote you over the phone, but they're pretty good about contacting you with a report and quote when they recieve the camera and evaluate it. It speeds things up if you download their repair form from their web site and fill it out and send it with your camera. Anything camera body related can be time consuming and often expensive if it requires more than replacing a small part which is often the case because of the way everything is integrated in large modules. If the repair is significant, ask about a trade in for a refurbished model for a lesser fee than the repair, they might have some deals like that going every now and then (they did for a repair I sent in on a Canon SD400-they traded in for an SD500 refurb for half the cost of repairing the SD400). Good luck.
