    Canon XSi Purchase Advice

Hey guys. I am totally new to the DSLR realm and would appreciate some good advice. I am looking to purchase a Canon Rebel XSi with a lens. My price range is from around $750-800. I have two options that I am mulling over at the moment.

    Option A:
Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi SLR Camera /Lens Kit, - Black - with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Image Stabilizer Lens - Refurbished - 4GB SD Memory Card, Spare LP-E5 Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery, Slinger Camera Bag, Magic Lantern Guides, Book with DVD
    Priced at $553.
I would also want to purchase a few lower end lenses for different occations. Equaling around $800.

    Option B:

I am curious if anyone knows if the items included in the eBay bundle are just junk, or is it a better deal? Thanks in advance for any responses. I appreciate it.

    *updated link* hopefully

    Re: Canon XSi Purchase Advice

Welcome to the Forum. The ebay link doesn't work for me, but generally speaking the kits that are sold on ebay are junk. The camera is usually fine, but all of the extras are pretty much worthless. I bought my first DSLR as an ebay kit. It didn't take me long before everything in the kit, other than the camera was replaced. The case that was included in the kit wasn't even big enough to hold everything that was in the kit!
