    Lenses for the G11.

Hey, can I use my Rebel XT lenses on the G11? If so what kind of adapter do I need?

If not, what lenses made for the G11 are good quality. Or goodish anyway.

    Re: Lenses for the G11.

You can't use Canon EOS lenses on the G11. They are only made for Canon EOS SLRs. Canon does make a teleconverter for the G11. I think it's threaded, although I'm not sure. It's listed on the accessories tab on the Canon PowerShot G11 page: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/co...delSuppliesAct

What kind of lens did you want to use? What is it that the G11 isn't doing for you? It's a bit late for this, but do you know about the Panasonic and Olympus Micro Four Thirds cameras? They're sort of like the G11 but with changeable lenses.

By the way, we don't have any user reviews for the G11 yet. Please write a review! You'll be the first here for the G11!

I hope that helps. Let us know if you have more questions. We're here to help. And thanks in advance for your G11 review

Ok, I will try to get around to writing a review soon.

    Thanks

Don't be too much of a perfectionist about it. It only takes a few minutes to post a review. Just tell us how it's worked for you and what you like and don't like about it. Keep it simple and get it done!

Thanks again and please do let us know if you have more questions about your G11. I've been using the Canon S90, which has the same sensor. I think Canon has done a really great job with those two cameras. The image quality of the S90 is really blowing me away for a point-and-shoot!

Ok, review posted. I also provided a couple images above if people want to look at the quality themselves. Of course these are tone mapped, and that can introduce atrifacts of its own...

    Thanks - I already saw your G11 review and posted a comment. It's a very well-written review

We haven't had the G11 in-house yet. But the Canon S90 uses the same sensor and I've posted a few photos taken with that camera in the gallery:
