    SD800, SD900, SD1000 ? which one to buy

I am looking to buy one of the following cameras, (SD800, SD900, and SD1000).
I looked at the specs and can not truly understand the difference. I was always under the impression that the higher the number the better, but price is higher on some lower model cameras. Can any one please review the pros / cons of these cameras as well as the features. I will be mostly using it for personal use, but would also like to use it for head shots in our dental office. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: SD800, SD900, SD1000 ? which one to buy

Three primary differences that I can see. The SD800 has an image stablization that the SD1000 lacks. Some people feel that the IS feature is over-rated if you have a steady hand. The second difference is that the SD800 can take wider shots (2.8). The third difference is that the SD1000 is much slimmer and compact--the slimmest Canon offers. I bought the SD800 a month ago and have been very impressed--it's a great camera. But had I seen the SD1000, I might have opted for it just because it's so much more compact. Really depends on your priorities--I would vote for size, then IS, then the wide angle. Hope that helps.
