The Nikon has the VR (vibration reduction) system on it, but I cannot find a similar system included with the Canon. I know the systems are lens based, so does this mean the Canon lens is without any stabilization included?
Thanks
Im not sure, but you can tell weather canon has vibration reduction by looking for image stabilization (IS) i looked on jessops and they do the non-IS version of the 18-55mm so probably not. but ive been told that the IS is alot better than the non-IS. hope this helps.
Re: Canon EOS 1000d details
You will have to look at the spec. This one lists the lens as IS= image stabilized.

Re: Canon EOS 1000d details
If you asked me the Canon is better than the D3000 IQ wise...just my opinion. Regarding the lenses Canon IS lenses are Image stabilized...which I guess is the equivalent to VR in Nikons.
