    550D sensor cleaning
Hello can someone give me some tips on how to clean a sensor properly instead of sending it to any local camera shop and get charge for about £40-60.

because when I look at my viewfinder there is this tiny black stuff a small hair i think or something else and it worries me so I want it to be removed.

recommended cleaning kit for cleaning a sensor.

If you are seeing the dirt/hair when you look through the view finder, the dirt is not on the sensor. It's either on the mirror, or on the focusing screen. Do you see dirt on your images when you view them on a computer or in a print? If so, then you have a dirty sensor.

The cheapest/easiest way to clean your sensor, mirror or focusing screen is to use a blower like this. Blower. DON'T use canned air! I have found that a good blower will take care of 99% of my issues.

If that doesn't work, there are lots of other cleaning products on the market that you can use. There are both wet & dry cleaning products that you can use to clean the sensor. I have a kit from Visible Dust that I use to clean my sensor when the blower doesn't work. It's kind of expensive, but I don't have to send my gear off to get it cleaned so I'm never without my camera.
