    50D users - check your cams

    Tonight I found that the default "shooting mode" for my 50D had the sharpness turned all the way down!

    Is yours that way?

    I would prefer it that way, shoot in RAW and do the sharpening outside the camera.
    Rather than the fairly crude steps of sharpening in the built-in software.

    That does bring up an interesting question. I shoot raw (of course). Does this setting not apply to raw? If it does, would placing the sharpness all the way down not cause the cam to blur the image?

    Raw is, well it's raw. None of the in camera settings will affect a raw image.
