MultimediaPhoto Photomatix Basic Software - Press Release
MultimediaPhoto announces the release of Photomatix Basic, a light version of its
dynamic range increase software Photomatix Pro. Photomatix Basic creates High
Dynamic Range images and combines two differently exposed images of a high
    contrast scene.

Photomatix Basic offers automatic exposure blending of two images, combining
overexposed and underexposed shots of the same scene into one image with
increased dynamic range. Additionally, Photomatix Basic generates a High Dynamic
Range Image (HDRI) from any number of differently exposed images. The created
HDRI can be viewed through an accessory window that shows local data at the
    appropriate exposure.

Other features include 16-bit support, an alignment tool for out-of-register images,
comparative histograms, image stacking and automatic batch processing.

Photomatix Basic is free and available for both Mac OS X and Windows. More
