    B&H Photo

I just received my new Canon Digital Rebel 300D from B&H Photo. I was surprised and impressed with the quick shipping....4 days after placing my order it arrived, and that's from NY to Alaska. Very impressive indeed. No muss, no fuss, I got exactly what I ordered and in good shape...excellent packing. I highly recommend B&H Photo.

    Wink B&H is the BEST

I purchase all of my equipment there - and have for the past 2 years. I live in Paterson, NJ - right across the river from NY and I get my deliveries next day if I order in the morning; 2 days at the latest. (UPS Ground)

I go there once in a while and it's a great experience. All the sales people are knowledgeable, experienced photographers and friendly. They will go the extra mile if there is a need.

    B&H

B&H does have great service, but how about thier prices! They are usually about half the price of my favorite local store (National Camera Exchange), and they always seem to have a lot of stuff in stock...

Over the past three years, I've bought all my gear and film from B&H. Heck I even got my Dad buying from them as well. Their turn around time is great as well. I live on the west coast and it never takes more than 3 days for me to receive my order.

In my book, B&H is #1!

I have purchased several items from B&H and haven't found anything wrong with the items or the service, although the first purchase was a bit hard with having to send copy of front and back of credit card over to them. Sort of makes one nervous that.

As most know I live Internationally and the biggest killer of purchasing is the postage costs, they are just so expensive. Was looking at a small item to level the camera on tripod, it costs like $24.95, postagbe was $29.95 and that is US $'s see my point. Oh Yeah, I can't find this item here in Australia at all anywhere. But I still have no hesitation in recommending them.

    The search is over

You can get these things from blacktown camera house, manfrotto and inca make them. but i think you can get them from kayell adeal and film and video extras as well. they are the most fully stocked camera shop in the sydney metrop area (i am bragging a little as i used to work there) but often on the rare stuff they are a very good first port of call.
I don't like purchasing over the net (just a quirk of mine).

    They rock

No hassles, great service, and I mean GREAT. They go out of their way every time I call or email. Shipping is always quick, prices are always close to the best. I have ordered over thirty times from them over the past three years, and I don't have a single time that it didn't go smoothly.

I order everything from them, especially if it's a high price item.

The problem with Australian stores is they....

charge way too much compared with the rest of the world. When I bought my Canon 550EX from the states, it was nearly $1,000A here and I got it for around $650A imported. Same with cameras, but I have bought mine here. Lenses are traditionally a 1/3 extra compared with the price of the US and HK pricing. I understand that businesses need to make a profit, but the prices we pay here in Australia don't justify the cost.

Thanks for the info about Blacktown Camera House, I checked at Parramatta, usless. I know about Kayell, but they are a little pricey as well. Haven't heard of the the others. A couple of places I have used here, are Dirtcheapcameras.com and also Vanbar.com.au as well. They have atleast reasonable pricing which I am prepared to buy from.

Any idea on the cost of the level at Blacktown Camera House, are they located in main street or in the Mall there Skyman.

    B & H is awesome...

I have made at least a half dozen purchases from B&H (internet, phone, and in person) and all have been great. This one was the best so far:

A few weeks ago I ordered a Canon 70-200 F4L, a couple filters, and a Manfrotto tripod. It was around 5:30 eastern time and I asked if it was too late to get it next day. I was told that I missed the deadline and may as well ship UPS Ground. I was also told they would ship in two boxes so not to worry if they didn't arrive together. Friday afternoon I returned home to find a small box on the front porch. As I pulled up the driveway, I was trying to imagine what it could be. Turns out it was the lens and filters, they arrived overnight after all! The tripod arrived Monday!

Whenever I am in the city, they are always a must visit!

P.S. If you are planning a visit, check their hours. They are closed Saturdays and sometimes for a week at a time (Passover, etc.)
