B&H Imported

I was wondering if anyone has purchased an imported item from B&H. I was looking at the Nikon 18-200 VRII and I wasn't sure about the imported items. I know B&H is a great store to buy from, but it still made me nervous.

New or 2/h ?
Imported usually means there's no warranty on it.
If it was a second hand lens I'd not worry, as you say they are a reputable store.
And a pre-owned lens usually doesn't carry a warranty any more anyhow.
Is it enough of a saving over a US lens with warranty to be worth it?

Almost every time I've been to B&H's site, ordering wasn't available until a certain day.
I gave up and ordered from Adorama.... I don't see how B&H stays in business, as much as they're closed.

most people(even in us) i hear prefer a japan made items, well not china.

so what's wrong with imported items?
