Nothing exciting, I know. One of my first attempts at formal portraiture. Shot with natural light with a light fill flash on the background. Blue crushed velvet used for the backdrop.
Shot on Reala, and scanned in from a print. Any/all comments or suggestions welcome.

Nice portrait for a first time, and doing anything out of your comfort zone can be horrible. The one thing I think you need is a fill flash, especially aimed around the facial area. Atleast on my monitor, the colors on her face are a tad pale. Again, it might just be my monitor, or it could be make up/complextion etc. Nice first time shot, but some easy fixes could make this shot shine.
