Thanks in advance, Tim jar_e 03-15-2005, 03:50 PM Interesting shot. The color scheme for this works perfectly, definately adds a good touch for it. Compositionally, I would've taken out the pillow in the middle of the left hand side, as it adds an unnecessary, out of focus area. Other then that great shot, Jared EOSThree 03-15-2005, 05:23 PM I like it, not my genre, but I like the color tint, it adds to the mood. I remember as a child I wanted to "get away" in this manner. I agree with jar_e the middle left pillow doesn't add to the picture. Over all though, I like it. OldSchool 03-15-2005, 07:32 PM I would have never caught that pillow. I can see how the composition would be improved without it. My big challenge in these shots is not disturbing the scene while I setup and work it. I often spoil the moment that I'm trying to capture when I move things about and then the kids take note becoming conscious of what I'm doing. My other "problem" is that I'm just to close to the subject, and this may effect my ability to be truly objective about the results. Thus, I thank you for your feedback... Tim CaSousa 03-16-2005, 11:23 AM Tim, You definitely captured the moment here (although it was probably several moments in that position!). Great shot! I think the pillow may detract somewhat, but I honestly didn't notice it too much at first. I was first drawn to her face, then you focus on the curled up body and hands... great composition. -Chris OldSchool 03-16-2005, 12:20 PM Thanks Chris... I've been thinking about renaming the shot to "Introspection" or "Contemplation". Tim |
