This was the view opposite the red barn (previous post). Taken with Reala, and converted to B&W in PS. I keep going back and forth as to which I prefer, as the lighting shifted momentarily, illuminating the snow-covered trees in the distance but taking away from the foreground detail. Any ideas?
Comments/Critiques always appreciated!

And I suppose those little smudges in the corners are from my lens hood. Forgot it was on there when i went down to 28mm (oops!)

While there is no doubt both shots are nice, I like the second one better. Having the snow on the trees adds to the image. Also, the lighting is a bit more dramatic keeping my eye there.

Chris, I find both of these shots Awesome!!
I love Snow, Dramatic clouds, & Single trees by themselves.........
I took a look at cropping out some of the bottom...........say just below the first little black dot from the bottom over to the right. Hope you don't mind.

Thanks for the positive remarks, Scott!
Also, I don't mind the cropping at all. I like the fact that it gives the whole scene a wider feel.

Scott's crop definately works wonders for this picture. The original just doesn't have enough subject matter for me, but the tighter crop is awesome.
Nice shots Chris,
