I took this photo in Ny. I know the fence seems to be a distraction but i Think it complements the metals of the firetruck very well. I think the steel and the brilliant red make a great contrast. What does everyone else think??

Thanks

I understand the idea of the color values of the fence and the truck matching but personaly I find the fence very distracting. It could be due to my screen and the heavy compression on the image and might look better in raw format but I still find the pattern on the fence too tight strangling the detail away from the truck. Just my 2 cents..

Cheers.

To me, this shot is a "tweener" -- too far away to concentrate on the details and too close to put it in context. Just my $.02 -- take my free advice for what it is worth.

I think this shot could have been far more successful had you zoomed out and panned at a slow shutter speed with the firetruck. The fence would be blurred but added an interesting element to the image.
As it is I have to agree with Lava Lamp.
