I have had trouble with the audio when burning a DVD from a mini-DV tape edited in imovie3 on a G4 Powerbook. The edited footage runs perfectly when previewed in iDVD but when the disc is burned the audio embedded in the video clips has repeated short breaks and by the end of the movie (39 minutes) is out of synch. The added audio tracks are fine. The camera (Sony TRV950) audio mode was set to 12 bit. Could that be the problem? Any help or advice would be very welcome. It's driving me nuts!
I can't help with that one since you are working with the I-movie.
I'll ask one of my Mac kids.,

Thanks MJS. I had to prepare a transfer to send to a friend so finally transferred to camera and then to a VHS tape. It's perfect, with all audio seamless and in synch.
Something amiss with my DVD burner perhaps.

I bit the bullet, exported my edited movie back to the camera and had a professional DVD made from the mini-DV tape. It's perfect, so there is a glitch somewhere in my DVD program. I did find that the audio breaks occur in video clips which have had transitions or titles added.
Thought I should let the forum know that at least I got my movie onto disk.
Congratulations. Sorry about no repsponse, I was on a short vacation over the holiday weekend with the family.
Have a good one.
