View Full Version : Capilano's trees Seb 10-02-2004, 01:49 PM Here is a second take of a picture submited earlier. Please criticise. Seb shesells 10-02-2004, 02:47 PM Seb, this is really quite an atmospheric shot. The scene reminds me of camping in the smokeys. I love the thick fog and green green of the trees. I tried cropping the shot just to the left of the closest tree on the right. I Think it gives it even more depth, and leads the eye to the back. Have you tried cloning out the dark green patch of leaves on the tree to the left? I'm not sure, but would give it a try. Either way, it's beautiful how you captured the light falling into the fog. Kit here's a quick crop Clicker 10-02-2004, 03:48 PM Love the muted colors caused by the hazy fog! and great tree structure to set it off.. I was originally going to suggest a crop to *both* sides to leave just the green leaves and the lighter thinner tree on the right, but also like shesells crop.. I feel the first post, with the trees on either side is too much and draws my eyes to those, I find myself looking at them too much, seeing how parallel they are too each other. and they are not.. so that distracted me... Good capture. Seb 10-03-2004, 05:08 PM Hi guys, Thank you for the comments, I take good notes of your suggestions. Actually, I was mostly concerned about my post processing here (was the sharpening too much or not, levels work, etc...). I'll assume that it is ok since no one commented about that lol. Shesells, I havent tried to clone out the leaves you are reffering at. I gotta try it for myself. The cloning tools on PS Element 2 (which I use) aren't as complete as PS CS or 7 but there is most likely something to do about it. Clicker, I liked to have both trees but I will try others options as well. Then again, thank you for your suggestions. regards Seb |
