I go out for lunch sit at the side of the Colorado River, and take about 300 photos in about 45 min. These guys have so much fun out there, and I usually get their email address so I can send them some photos. But not sure what makes a good Kayak shot. Any help would be appreciated.

Here are a few that I took today.

Thanks, Bren

Never been around the sport either, but you seem to have a pretty good handle on it. Your in tight on the action and your getting the faces in. Nice work!

Those look pretty sweet to me. But I haven't shot any kayak photos before. They do look a bit dark and contrasty. So I think a bit of careful post-processing might help.

I shot some wakeboard photos a few years ago and this past winter I decided to get more serious about ski photos. The first thing I do is go buy magazines. I learned a lot from wakeboard mags and ski mags. And I have no doubt you'll get a lot of ideas and inspiration from paddle magazines. And ask the kayakers. They'll tell you! And they're your potential customers. They're the ones you want to please. So their opinions count the most :-)

Cool to see these photos here. Congratulations on getting Featured Photo in the forum. Hope you'll stick around and share more with us.
