Death Valley. Back to the desert. Lovely, vast, forbidding, quiet, harsh. There's fistfuls of words that could describe this place.

What a beautiful series! Each image is unique with excellent composition, sharp, good color rendition. And together, they tell a story. I've viewed them a few times.

The first one is creative and a great beginning to the series - both the image and your written introduction/description of the desert. I also like your companion photo.

Other favorites include the lone flower, the sand with the majestic mountains in the background......btw, I can't quite make out the tiny figure in the middle in the 7th image (right after the flower).

Awesome. You gave me a great start to my day!

Beautiful! One of those places I've always wanted to visit. I can hear the 20 mule team music right now.

Thanks. Sand always keeps me busy with the camera. Here are a few from another sandbox on the other side of the globe. One of the wonderments of travel for me is the juxtaposition of the familiar and the strange. And the way we contextualize them through our various filters (world view, personal opinion, current mood and yes, even the camera. (what we choose to point it at, and what we choose not to point it at tells us a lot about ourselves.)) OK, enough armchair philosophizing....:blush2:

Very nice! It's picture like this that make the desert pretty. Good time of year to travel through them.
