These are shots I took practicing aperture usage. I am still learning or rather re-learning how to properly set the camera for the desired effect...two examples of my efforts.

Both of these shots have only had Noise Removal, any editing or re-shoot advice would be really helpful. Lighting is an issue...but that should be resolved when the soft boxes arrive later this week! :)

I mostly like the composition of the second image (I would like to see her entire head in frame) but it is just too dark.

Thanks for the comments. The lighting issue has been plaguing our photographs for a while...so I was aware of that...:) BUT the concept is one we came up with. I speak in we...because the girl is me and the scary looking figure in the front (hehehe) is my brother. I set up the shot and then ran like heck to get back there in time before the timer went off, checked the shot, re adjusted, then did it all over again. That was the best, and the last one we shot the other night. I look forward to the reshoot when we have the proper lighting equiptment...3 days and counting!
