Here is one that I shoot from about 30 feet behind the right center field fence. That the second baseman in the shoot as the hitter makes contact. this is a lousy field to try and shoot at and I basically said I'm trying something different. This one is with the D2h and the 300mm with the 1.4 extender and it's about a 60% crop of the original. What do you think?

I don't consider myself one who can critisize your work, but it just seems like that ball is coming out the side of that girls head. Perhaps if you were a few feet over...

Very good attempt at making the best of a bad field though...

Good point! I really hadn't seen it that way till you pointed it out. And you certainly are qualified to critique or make observations about my work or anyone else here at PR Sports Forum. That's what we are all about, sharing and learning. I'm sure not going to get upset because someone has an observation about one of my images. Keep jumping right in there and never feel like you have to qualify yourself. Just have fun with your photography and share and learn with others. I'd been shooting for years when I joined here and I'm not bashful about admitting that the good folks here have taught me a lot over the last couple of years.

Here is another frame not as good a shoot but corrects the problem you point out. (I had to email images to myself so these have been through a lot before I posted, SORRY). Just trying to get in examples.

I love this perspective.....I agree with the last post about maybe being over 6inches or so to seperate the ball from the pitchers head....but otherwise...Great shot....something different...

I like this perspective a lot because it's something I never see. I'd never notice the ball placement unless it was pointed out. It's great to see everyone leaning in the direction of the ball. Nice work OT!

Thanks JETA. I'm going to work on this angle a bit more and see if I can get it right. For now though I'm out of here for a weekend of nature. I'm off to spend the weekend with my son's family at a state park. All flowers, birds and grandson for me for the next couple of days. Hold the sports fort down. I will return.

Enjoy yourself to the fullest OT. I'll miss you.

All the shooting ops you are going to have. Family and nature. What more can you ask for?

Have a wonderful time!

I think this perspective is better.
